I have tried 4 different cables including one from Apple. It did not resolve this issue. I tried using a wireless CarPlay dongle and got the same behavior, except it takes longer since the dongle has to boot first. But now I cant get it to connect with my Apple cable, it starts to charge then completely disconnects.
Recently bought a 2018 Citroen Berlingo. Apple CarPlay isn’t working. It’s greyed out on the app selection. So far I have: Reset to factory settings, Connected it to wifi, Connected to Bluetooth, Checked for updates. It’s not a problem with my phone as it works without issue on my wife’s car.
The Apple CarPlay problems are not only on Honda models. My Skoda Octavia 4 (VW MIB3 Infotainment System) has the same problem. When using navigation apps (Waze, Apple Maps, Google Maps) on both my iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 7, after a while, the navigation part of the screen is getting blurry.
the dealer tried another iphone, it wasn’t recognized. I also tried multiple cables that all work elsewhere. No luck every time I plug in phone it says device not recognized, or incompatible the dealer tried a hard reset, disconnected the battery and it didn’t work. I read unplugging the fuse might work, not sure if that’s the same thing
