A few friends of mine played free to play for almost a year before upgrading. And even though I already had the expansions it took me over 3 months before I touched any of the expansion content. So, unless you wanna skip ahead to get mounts/glider or wanna get into raiding early you have a lot of content to go through before you find yourself 1xtCh.
